EGS CIG May Meeting

Hoping to see a good group at the Computer Interest Group Tomorrow. We'll be discussing the website Find A Grave. If it's new to you, why not click on the link and check it out?
I'm happy about the topic because it caused me to get involved and add a few people. Lots more to go but it's a valuable and useful site for genealogists.

Have a good day!

  1. I attended the meeting about this morning. When I got home I looked for a tiny obscure cemetery in Mississippi and found it! My parents first child was stillborn and is buried there. They list a grave for "Baby Thornton" and I know that is how they worded the tombstone. They even show a few pictures of the cemetery. Art and I drove down those red clay roads for miles and could not find this cemetery. Thanks for helping me find her.

  2. It's wonderful to know our meetings are really useful. So happy you were able to find "Baby Thornton" using what you learned about this morning.

  3. I contacted the person that had listed my "Baby Thornton" in that Mississippi graveyard and she assisted me in setting up a site for her and for my parents. It was a satisfying thing to do. I will try to connect them to others in the family.
